Safety thanks to emission-controlled laying materials
|
EMICODE is an acknowledged standard for construction products which give a healthy home environment. Tests to date aimed at describing the emission behaviour of products with test certificates or by terms such as "low-emission" were inevitably a source of irritation to the consumer because there was a lack assessment criteria and standardised measuring methods. Products awarded the the EMICODE mark are thus identified as modern, solvent-free laying materials. In matters of indoor air quality they represent the ecologically correct approach to modern laying technology. |

EMICODE is the protected trade mark of the GEV. It is the designation for a classification system for assigning laying materials to the three classes below according to their emission behaviour: |

Since the term "low-emission" itself is neither standardised nor clearly defined, only EMICODE offers a binding basis for evaluating and selecting laying materials. The uniform use of EMICODE by GEV members gives all partners in the sector certainty in the selection of laying materials and creates confidence among consumers. EMICODE® and GEV signify competence and responsibility for holistic consumer and environmental protection. Laying materials identified by the GEV mark EMICODE EC1 as "very low-emission" provide the greatest possible safeguard against indoor air contamination. In the STAUF range about 85% of all products are certified with the EMICODE EC1 mark. This testifies to the fact that a healthy home environment and ease of working - alongside high product quality and laying reliability - are crucial criteria when it comes to developing and optimising STAUF products. You can examine and store the relevant EMICODE certificates of the STAUF products on our list of products pages. |
