Initiative PiK - Parkett im Klebeverbund The initiative known as "PiK - Parkett im Klebeverbund" is an association of leading companies in the parquet and construction chemical industry from Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. STAUF is also a member of this initiative. The aim is to highlight the technical and design benefits of the classic laying technique - the full-spread glueing of parquet. |

In deciding to buy a parquet floor of your choice, the type of wood, colour and design requirements were the main considerations. Now you should think about the laying method. There are two possibilities: Do you set great store by ecological construction and living? With glued parquet you're spot on. Adhesives designated EC1 do not contain any kind of solvents. They underscore what is already a positive ecological balance sheet on the part of parquet floors. Glued parquet is a very durable and hence a very long-lasting floor covering. And if the surface has a few scratches after years of use, it is no problem to grind it - even several times - and reseal it. Your glued parquet floor will re-emerge in all its glory. |

Is real living comfort important to you? A full-spread-glued parquet is a compact and stable floor. When you walk on it you won't hear any hollow sounds, and there will be no creaking or squeaking. Even if you have underfloor heating, a permanently glued parquet is the best solution; only in this way can heat buffers be prevented. The warmth from the heated underfloor will be transferred directly to the wooden surface without any losses. With permanently glued parquet floors all your options are open. Unusual layouts, transitions without thresholds between rooms, no visible joins, combination of materials, friezes and inlay work are all possible. |
