General remarks on the application of adhesives with notched trowels
When adhesives are applied to the substrate, various notched trowel systems are used. These are broken down: ► into the quantity of adhesive being applied ► into the depth and intervals of the gaps between the teeth Both factors are together responsible for a reliable and enduring adhesive bond. The adhesive recommendations from STAUF include the use of the notched trowel systems developed and recommended by us. In the table below you will find the designations and intended use of the different notched trowels.
Designations
In the description of the form of the notched trowel system three dimensions are generally given:
► the depth of gaps between teeth (a) ► the widt of gaps between teeth (b) ► the tooth width (c)
